Tuncmatik EV Canopy

The EV charging station canopy designed for Tunçmatik Elektrik was developed with a user-centric approach. Inspired by the bus stop typology, the design aims to create a functional structure that protects users from rain, snow, and sun. The goal was to ensure that vehicle owners experience the charging process in a comfortable, safe environment that is fully aligned with the brand’s identity.

Structurally, a steel framework was chosen for the canopy. This robust skeleton is clad with aluminum composite panels, known for being both durable and lightweight. The panels are finished in Tunçmatik’s corporate colors, giving the structure a contemporary look and an identity seamlessly integrated with the brand.

Modularity was a key priority in the design process. The canopy was designed to be prefabricated in a factory environment and assembled easily on-site, much like Lego blocks. This allowed for rapid assembly with minimum labor, providing significant advantages in terms of both cost and time. Furthermore, the system offers flexible planning, adaptable to capacities of 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 vehicles depending on the usage area.

In conclusion, the charging station canopy developed for Tunçmatik Elektrik presents an architectural solution that integrates brand colors, reinforces them with a modern material language, and enriches the structure with user-friendly details.
